Summary: Perfect location for exploring Auckland City, North Shore & environs. Bus 923 from the end of the road goes to Auckland Central 7 days a week. Ferry from Northcote Point to Auckland wifh free car park at the Ferry Terminal. Car parks in Auckland City were a good price, to us Brits! The rooms we had use of within the family home do need some renovation; the furniture is very 'tired' with laminate coming off in the bathroom & living room units. The ceilings still show water-damage mentioned in a previous review (2024?) All of the 'crockery' was plastic which was a definite negative for us and they weren't microwave-safe. Two microwave-safe dishes were provided for cooking, though. The view of the city from the jacuzzi is now more obscured by the shrubs ie not the same as in the advert photos. Host was very friendly & helpful - even doing laundry for us as we were on a 6 night stay.
